The Black Lessons
THE BLACK LESSONS is an ongoing series of classes intended to highlight Black notable personalities & important historical events that are related to Islam and Muslims. These lessons include many classes on the Companions of Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) – many of whom were previously thought to be pale or non-Black. Other lessons focus on Islam and its expression on the African continent, Black Muslim influencers in America, enslaved Black Muslims, Black Muslim scholars, Black Muslim rulers, exposing attempts to revise or ‘write-out’ Blacks from Islamic history and many other topics. THE BLACK LESSONS are taught by Imam Na’eem Abdullah.
Our Bookstore
Our bookstore is a treasure trove of traditional knowledge and wisdom, with a particular focus on the teachings of Shehu Uthman Dan Fodiyo in Maliki Fiqh to name a few. We offer a wide range of books that cover topics such as addressing social diseases, community empowerment, the experiences and perspectives of Black people in Islam, and the rich teachings of Islam and our beloved Messenger (peace be upon him). With Allah's help, our bookstore is a resource that can help you grow in faith, knowledge, and understanding.
Nur African Tours
Nur African Tours (NAT) is an exclusive African-American Travel Operator company whose sole purpose is to afford our travel members the opportunity to immerse themselves in Islamic cultural experiences in Africa that will educate, inspire, and expand their worldview about the truth of Islam and not the lies that have been spoon-fed to them over and over again. It is with our intent to provide our people with access that is imperative for the continuity of solid Islamic practice, community building, and empowerment.
